Spooner Industries are proud to continue its long-term relationship with ElvalHalcor, one of the global leaders in aluminium rolling and processing as they respond to increased demand for their sustainable materials used in the packaging (such as canstock), building and construction sectors.

As part of a significant expansion project Spooner were carefully selected to supply a new process line including two Passivation Dryers, a 70m+ Lacquer Oven and associated Air Coolers. The Spooner equipment incorporates the latest Supa-Max Plus flotation nozzles designed to operate with up to 150 mm nozzle to nozzle gap. Designed to handle potential issues with joints, crossbow or wavy edges, the equipment maintains full control of the strip and significantly reduces the risk of scrap product.

To further the environmental benefits, the new line will be complemented by the installation of a Spooner Regenerative Thermal Oxidiser (RTO). One of the largest supplied to date, the RTO includes secondary and tertiary heat recovery, optimised for low energy consumption and a unique indirect heating system for the Spooner Lacquer Oven.
